It may only be November
but AFC Mansfield could claim their first league championship on Sunday.
The under 15 boys need to beat their rivals Kirkby Colts. This is
after a 15 nil win on Sunday.
This included 9 players scoring including 2
from Josh Morgan on debut and Jimmy scoring his 3rd hatrick of the season,
however top scorer on the day was Tyrane with 4. A great effort boys.
This sees the team have a goal difference of plus 80. The
championship can be won with three games to spare. It would be a great
achievement. Keep up the good work boys.
The under 10's secured a
semi final berth in the cup with another victory over Mansfield Hosiery Mills
for the third week running. This time a 2 1 victory was enough to secure
the semi final against Mansfield Boys. Cup success remains a strong
possibility along with the league title for the boys.
The under 11 boys recorded
another home victory with a 6 1 victory against Walesby.
The under 16 boys crashed
out of the league cup with a 4 2 defeat away at Buxton. Bad luck boys but
we still have our eye on the county cup and the league. A long way to
travel for an early morning cup tie.
The girls provided us with
a strong performance with a 7 nil victory away at Southwell City. With
both teams in mid table it has allowed the girls to pull away from their rivals.
All in all a great weekend
for the Bulls and the young bulls. It can't go without saying that the
Bulls performed well above their stations in holding a talented Huntington
Town. Let's hope the replay on Wednesday goes our way and we can look forward
to more travelling in the next rround.
Let's hope we are
celebrating a title next weekend.
Bully Bully!!!!!
