AFC
Mansfield never really got out of first gear in this Notts Intermediate
cup tie.Eastwood Town reserves never really looked a match for
Mansfield and they cruised into the next round with A 4-0 victory.
Ed
Eley the ex-Mansfield Town goalkeeper made his debut for AFC and showed
he can operate his box really well but was not put under much pressure
in this game and kept a clean sheet.
Mark Carter was the hat-rick hero
bagging three of the Mansfield goals with Dean Rick getting the other
with a neatly steered header.
One of the young players Mark Staniforth
came on and showed some tricky movement on the wing and looks a good
prospect.
All in all it was a good day at the office and now AFC
Mansfield await the 3rd round draw and travel to Clay Cross Town next
week in a must win game for both
teams.
