With just a day to go until we are back
in action at home, tomorrow we welcome local rivals Clipstone FC to The Forest
Town Arena. The Bulls will go head-to-head against The Cobras for bragging
rights in the hotly-contested Clipstone Road Derby.
We have won two and drawn one in the past two seasons – and Rudy’s
side will undoubtedly be hoping to make it three consecutive wins come five o'clock. The most
recent affair ended 3-1 in favour of The Bulls, despite the scoreline perhaps
not directly reflecting the nature of the game. Clipstone were unlucky to not
have netted more, however the same could be said for ourselves.
Rudy is expected to have an almost
fully-fit squad to pick from tomorrow; aside from long-term absentee, Nick
Guest. After the mid-week League Cup triumph against Staveley Miners Welfare,
changes can be expected after some first-team regulars were given the night
off.
Clipstone have endured a tough season in
the NCEL Premier Division but league position mean nothing in most games,
never mind a local derby. Both sides will be fired up for one the best fixtures
the NCEL has to offer, as the home crowd look to cheer Rudy and Mark’s Bulls
onto another three points this Saturday.
