The Bulls recorded their 3rd pre-season win without conceding in a row on Thursday against newly formed East Yorkshire Carnegie.
The step 7 side were in no mood to give AFC Mansfield an easy ride and some biting tackles went in early doors.
The Bulls were without Captain Chris Timons, defenders Matty Plummer and Grant Allott, midfielder Jon D'Laryea and striker Craig Mitchell. All either working or on holiday.
After squandering several chances The Bulls finally broke the deadlock on 35 minutes. A cross from Ryan Williams was headed down by Ollie Fearon and Gary Bradshaw was quickest to react stabbing the ball home from 5 yards.
5 minutes later and an error from the home keeper saw the ball fall to Bradshaw 12 yards out and he drilled his shot through a crowd of players to make it 2-0.
Once the substitutions started in the 2nd half the game was largely forgettable. Jason White on after an hour saw action almost straight away and made 3 good saves in 5 minutes, although he would probably argue they were routine.
A good debut for keeper Myles Wright making his first start and a solid 90 minutes from young right back Jordan Annable. Brad Wilson looked composed in the centre of defence and Josh Madin also looked comfortable along side him.
Team: Wright (White 60), Annable, Dudley (Chadburn 65), Wilson, Madin, Naylor (Patterson 60), Williams, Cotton, Fearon, Bradshaw (Ghaichem 55), Karkach.
