This weekend saw a number of our teams take a break from action. However, the games which did take place saw some good performances and some good wins.
The under 16's reached the quarter final of the Primary Cup with a 5 - 1 victory over Brampton Rovers at Queensway on Sunday. The first half saw AFC take a 4-0 lead, with a stronger performance from the visitors in the second half. There were 5 different scorers, great to see goals throughout the team.
The under 15 boys had a 10 - 0 victory over near neighbours Woodhouse Colts. The game saw two AFC players scored hat-ricks. The record for the under 15's now reads played 6 won 6 scored 50 and conceded only 3. Great work boys!
The under 11's had a good 5 -1 victory in the league over Tibshelf Community United at Queensway.
All in all a good weekend with the 1st progressing further in the FA Vase and the next round being drawn at home to Huntington United. Weather permitting the 1st team are at home on Wednesday evening against Clay Cross and again on Saturday in the local derby with Sherwood. Hope to see some of you at both or either games.
Bully Bully!
