BULLS CHARGE INTO NEXT ROUND!

AFC Mansfield celebrate their final goal in the 5-2 away win

AFC Mansfield pushed on into the 2nd Round of The FA Carlsberg Vase with a 5-2 away victory at Step 5 side Northampton Sileby Rangers.

Sileby took an early lead but second half goals from Callum Green and Mark Carter looked to have won it.  'The Bulls' were dealt a late blow when Sileby equalised with 1 minute left on the clock.

Dean Rick restored the one goal lead in the first period of extra time but again AFC were dealt a blow when they were reduced to 10 men at the start of the second period.

'The Bulls' showed their fighting spirit when first Mark Carter scored and then Dean Rick finished the game off with 5 minutes to go.

All at AFC Mansfield will be eagerly awaiting the draw on Monday.
