Manager Jason Truscott had this to say about the game.
"After the disappointment of having our first game cancelled last week, it was good to finally play a competitive game after several weeks of pre-season training and bonding.
As anticipated the game started slowly and the lads looked nervous, but once they settled down the confidence began to grow.
The turnout was impressive and to have so many options was good for us, yet it meant some players had to be rested to accomodate the subs coming on. This is by no means a negative and no player should take it as such, but we had to play all the players that turned up.
Thanks to all the family, friends and 1st team that turned up to support, we hope that will continue for the coming season.
Our next game is scheduled for Wednesday 7th August at home to Teversal Reserves. Kick-Off is 7.45pm.
