What
a fantastic achievement for AFC Mansfield to reach the third final of
the season after this 1-0 victory over Belper United in the Baris league
cup semi-final.
The game was a very close contest throughout the 90
minutes but AFC tested the Belper goalkeeper on several occasions.
Fair
play to the opposition as they set up to try and stop The Bulls prolific
strike force but fell at the final hurdle.
There were 93 minutes on the
clock when mercurial striker Carl Haslam got hold of the ball on the
edge of the area and weaved past a couple of players before making space
and blasting the ball through the goalies legs and breaking the Belper
hearts.
The goal signalled celebrations from the whole AFC management
team racing down to the corner flag and the whole squad joining in.
What
an end
to an exciting game and shows the heart of the Mighty Bulls.
The
Bulls have a rest this Saturday and then have two finals next week on Tuesday and Thursday to look forward to.
