FLOODLIT CUP FINAL NOW SEALED

AFC Mansfield have now booked a second cup final of the season after beating Harworth 2-0 in the semi -final of the floodlit cup.
It was a tough away trip especially after Matt Draper and Gary Armstrong had to leave the pitch through injury.
The first half ended 0-0 with nothing between the sides.
The injuries allowed Jammy Meehan and fans favourite Carl Haslam to enter the fray.
Haslam looked sharp after a long suspension and was unlucky not to put The Bulls in front after breaking through the Harworth defence and striking the keeper full on.
Early in the second half Mark Carter put AFC in front with a clinical finish to break the Harworth hearts.
Joe Naylor settled the tie as he headed home from a corner which was richly deserved after a fine display from the player as he moved into midfield to cover the injuries.
As the game moved into the closing period Harworth lacked the strength to trouble Mansfield and the game ended a comfortable 2-0 victory.
AFC now make the short trip again on Saturday as they face Harworth in the league to continue their impressive season so far.
The AFC Mansfield manager Micky Taylor must be delighted at reaching another cup final with another semi final and the league title yet to play for.
It's all to play for as the games now come thick and fast.
