AFC
Mansfield are through to the semi final of the Notts Intermediate Cup
after a 5-1 victory ove Radcliffe Olympic Res.
A Matt Draper goal midway
through the first half paved the way for The Bulls.
Radcliffe had put up a
stern resistance up until this point and on a dodgy playing surface it
looked as if it was going to be a difficult day.
Joe Naylor however added
a second before half time and settled the game. Joe got his second of
the game before Radcliffe made it 3-1 and tried to make a game of
it.
Striker Dean Rick was taken off by manager Micky Taylor to rest his
legs and youngster Mark Staniforth was thrown in wide right to run at
the defence and had several tricky runs at the home defence.
Mark
Robinson made it 4-1 with a fine strike on goal and Gary Armstrong made
it 5
with probably the best move of the game late on to seal the victory.
AFC now travel to Newark on Wednesday to see if they can make it into the league cup semi final also.
