INS AND OUTS AT AFC IN 2017

The club has had a bit of movement around its squad in 2017.  Players leaving the club include Ryan Williams, which we have already covered.

Gary Bradshaw, who has followed Ryan to Barton Town Old Boys.  Gary played 32 times for the club and scored 14 goals.

Josh Madin also left the club to join Staveley MW, Josh made 9 appearances for the club this season.

Keeper Myles Wright has left after making just 4 appearances, not sure where Myles will end up but any club will be lucky to get him signed up.

Finally, Danny Patterson departed for Maltby Main.  Danny played 41 times for the club over 2 seasons.  Recently he wore the Captains armband and was Captain 15 times out of his 26 appearances this season.

We wish all our former players good luck in the future and thank them for their time at the club.

Coming in are James Cullingworth who has made 7 appearances, 4 starts and 3 off the bench.  He has scored 6 goals in those 7 appearances.

Returning to the club is Joe Cheeseman, Joe made 16 appearances before left and played at Rainworth MW.  Since his return he has made 8 appearances.

We have also signed George Milner and Ellis Wall from Clipstone.  Both players are young midfielders with pace and workrate.  George has played 3 times and Ellis twice.  We expect big things from both players.

On top of this we have signed a couple of old favourites.  Dale Sheppard returns to the club, Dale played 75 times in goal for The Bulls.  In that time he kept 43 clean sheets and picked up 4 trophies in 2 seasons.

Returning also is Dean Rick, the clubs all time top goalscorer.  Dean amassed a total of 159 goals in 4 seasons from 140 appearances.
