BULLS SINK IN THE CHESHIRE RAIN!!

Tuesday 24th November 2015
FA Vase 2nd Round Replay
Alsager Town 3—1 AFC Mansfield
The Bulls crashed out of the FA Vase in the 2nd Round in a replay at Alsager Town.  They will be left ruing the numerous missed chances in the first game.  The replay saw an awful 1st half which saw the Mansfield side concede 3 goals and ultimately surrender the tie.
In monsoon like conditions The Bulls found it hard to play any kind of football and were always on the back foot.

Alsager bolstered by several dual signed Evo-stik players were the better side on the night and went in front on 30 minutes when Michael Machin, playing his first game for the club fired home from 5 yards.

Jon Beaumont, playing in his 2nd game doubled the lead on 38 minutes.

The game was over on 44 minutes when Jonathon Jones got the final touch to a low driven corner.
The Bulls were always going to be chasing the game in the 2nd half and suffered an early blow when Jimmy Ghaichem was carried off with an injury that will keep him out until after Christmas.

Chris Fletcher in the home goal did well to save a Chris Timons header on 55 minutes from a well delivered Ryan Williams free-kick.

The 3 subs that were bought on made the AFC side look more lively.  Steve Sowter and Adon Spencer going close with efforts around the 70 minute mark.

Fletcher was again in action on 88 minutes superbly tipping Danny Naylors goal bound effort over the bar.

AFC Mansfield finally scored albeit a consolation goal from the corner.  Delivered by Spencer, 3rd sub Grant Allott rose above the pack to powerfully head home.

Jason White did well to save with his feet from a Jordan Johnson effort in the final minute.

AFC Mansfield: White, Wilson (Spencer63), Dudley (Allott 77), Jeffs, Timons, Naylor, Williams, Buxton, Cheeseman, Mitchell, Ghaichem (Sowter 53).  Sub not used: Park
