Speaking to Jimmy he had this to say about his move
to AFC Mansfield.
“Contrary to what has
been said I have made the move to AFC Mansfield because I can see they are an
ambitious club and look to be going places.
Having spoken to the Chairman Steve Hymas and Director Andy Saunders it
was an easy decision to make.
Also the chance to work with manager Rudy Funk was
fundamental in my decision, he is a great manager and has become a bit of a
father figure to me. He has helped me so
much in my football and to link up again so quickly is pleasing.
AFC Mansfield have a great bunch of talented players, many
of whom I have played with already and I can’t wait to get started. We play Shirebrook Town on Tuesday night and
it would be fantastic to play a part in getting 3 points and moving the club
forward.
The club ambition matches my own and hopefully in the next
couple of seasons we can push on and progress up the pyramid”.
