YOUNG BULLS |
We
Are Off
This
weekend saw all but two of our youth teams get their seasons underway. A
weekend of mixed fortunes but things to build on for all teams. Saturday
saw the under 9 get their season off at the Forest Town Arena with an 8-5
defeat to Clipstone. Certainly a high scoring affair.
Another high
scoring affair was seen at Queensway where the under 12 Saturday side recorded
a 9-1 victory to go top of the early table.
The
under 14 had a tale of two halves. They started slowly going in at half
time 3 nil down. However, a strong second half display should have seen
more reward then an eventual 4 nil defeat. A penalty for the visitors,
which could be classed as lucky saw the visitors extend their
lead. The boys rallied in the second half and produced some good
football and created some good chances. On another day the result could
have been very different. Keep it up boys.
Finally
on Saturday the under 11 boys recorded their first victory of the season with
a 7-1 victory in the Chad Youth League. The under 11 followed
this up with a first game in the YEL with a scoreless
draw. The under 9 Sunday side started with a 5 nil victory in the
kickstart league.
The
under 14 girls began with a 2 1 victory against East Leake. They have
been trying to beat them for 2 years. Who knows what lies ahead
girls. The under 16 girls started the season with a 3 nil defeat away to
Arnold Ladies.
We
move on to next week and hope that we all have some good results.
