'The Bulls' took a step closer to their ultimate goal with a steady 3-1 win over Brodsworth Welfare on Saturday.

Goals from Darren Bettison, Joe Naylor and Danny Wiltshire did the damage despite Brodsworth pulling level with a strike from Shane Carver.  All the goals came in the first half although the home goal led a charmed life in the second half and Carver crashed a penalty against the bar.

AFC Mansfield eagerly await the visit of close rivals Westella Hanson next week in what could be the deciding game in this season's championship.
