AFC
Mansfield are through to the quarter final of the Baris League Cup
after a narrow 1-0 victory away at Calverton.
A Matt Draper strike just
before half time separated the sides.
On reflection Calverton played some
neat football but never really tested goalkeeper Dale Shepherd.
AFC
looked a little ring rusty after the enforced lay off but could have
extended the lead on a few occasions as Dean Rick continued to be a thorn in the oppositions side.
Striker Carl Haslam was also caught
offside on a couple of occasions with through balls not being given at
the correct time.
All in all it was quite comfortable win for The Bulls and
they now look forward to the draw to see who they will face in the
quarters.
AFC are due to travel up to Westella on Tuesday in the floodlit
cup semi final.
