While
the winter bites hard AFC Mansfield are not resting on their
laurels.
The Club have decided to apply to join the Baris North Midlands
U19s league for the season 2013/2014.
Chairman Steve Hymas says " This is
a very exciting project for the club and i have always been a big
believer that there is a lot of potential in the local community
especially those finishing at their boyhood clubs and looking to
progress into mens football.
It will expand the club further and spread
the roots for the future.
The league is played on a weekday night and
will give everyone at the club chance to follow the teams progress and
should players show potential they will be available for 1st team action
should the opportunity arise. It has been a decision made by the whole
club and something
we are all very much looking forward to."
An announcement
will be made shortly who will become manager of the Under 19s and how
the club can be contacted by players wishing to join the new arm of the
club.
