The
players and management knew how important this game was to the club in
regards to winning the title and guaranteeing promotion.
How ever it looks
like they had one eye on the Christmas party and never turned up in
front of a healthy crowd.
Dronfield were the better side throughout the
game and AFC went 1-0 up against the run of play when Danny Naylor ran
clear and lobbed the keeper.
Dronfield hit back before half time with a
brace of goals to make it 2-1 at half time to the visitors.
Harsh words
were said at half time but it had no effect and the whole AFC side
looked lacking in effort, passion and skill and were made to look also
rans by a hungry Dronfield side.
The visitors made it 3-1 from the
penalty spot and the game was all over as a contest.
To rub salt into the
wounds
Dronfield added another 2 goals late on as the AFC side capitulated and
made it 5-1.
Its now back to the drawing board for Micky, and
his players must dust themselves down if they are going to get anything
out of the season.
They remain top of the league on goal difference but
the title is out of their hands now and they are relying on Dronfield
slipping up at some stage.
The Bulls now need to grow a pair and show
some mettle in the remainder of the season and live up to the
nickname.
There is a long way to go.
